She was raised in Balbriggan, where she began her musical journey in her church choir. However, it was only in February this year that she dropped her first single, “Final”, and has not slowed down since, releasing an array of singles as well as music videos leading up to this project.

This week’s “Frosted Beats” cover features the emerging Wexford artist, Awkward Z. Originally from Johannesburg, South Africa, he moved to Ireland when he was 5 and began rapping at 16, however he has been performing most of his life as a dancer.

Not only has he secured a spot at Electric Picnic this weekend, but he also has a headline show coming up at the Grand Social next month. In addition, he is preparing to drop his new single entitled “Angel On My Shoulder” this Friday, so I decided to have a chat with him to get an insight into his thoughts during such a busy period.
The multi-talented Shiv makes the cover of the “Frosted Beats” Spotify playlist this week. She is an upcoming artist based in Dublin that draws inspiration from the likes of Biig Piig, Jorja Smith and Kilo.
